Christy McKinney
Christy McKinney had an interesting childhood, growing up in Willis, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona alternately with her divorced mother and father.
She wrote her first book about a down-on-his-luck caterpillar when she was nine years old. She illustrated it and stapled it together in red construction paper. The title was, "The Caterpillar that Got Lucky".
Her favorite authors growing up were Beverly Cleary, Shel Silverstein, Alfred Hitchcock, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King.
Since then, she has written eight short stories in the speculative fiction genre and is currently finishing her novel, "The Descendant". Just recently , she published two Ebooks, "3 Scary Stories for 1 Rainy Night." and "3 Chilling Tales for 1 Spooky Night". She is the Concord Women's Fitness Examiner at Examiner.com and also makes jewelry which she sells at Art Nutz, an art gallery in downtown Southern Pines, NC.
She is a single mother to three beautiful daughters and devotes most of her time to them, of course.
